Well, not really an adventure. We had a two week vacation and spent most of it in Hong Kong. On the way there, there was a typhoon and we were diverted to Taipei for one evening. The next day, we got a chance to visit Taipei 101, the world’s tallest completed building. Under construction now, Burj Dubai has already exceeded Taipei 101 in height.
Hong Kong is a fascinating and cosmopolitan city no doubt. A gastronome’s heaven and also a fashion capital of the far east. We got off lucky this time and didn’t blow our food budget shopping.
The first two pictures were taken inside Taipei 101. The floor is weight sensitive and the “clouds” begin to part when one steps on it. We spent alot of time riding cabs in Hong Kong and the other shots have been taken from cabs.
For you photoheads reading this, I have rediscovered the 20D again. Since going 1Dmk3, I have forgotten how unassuming and convenient it is to have a smaller DSLR.
