Di and I spent the last six days in Las Vegas at the annual WPPI conference with thousands of other fantastic photographers. This was our first time there and we were just blown away and humbled by the amount of talent out there. I got the chance to meet some old friends whom I missed dearly and made tonnes more new connections.
One of them was the awesomest Dave and Charlotte who own a studio in Toronto. Dave mentioned that they got engaged on Valentine’s Day. Without hesitation, the first thing that came to my mind was engagement pictures! My peeps all know I dig engagement sessions more than anything so I shamelessly demanded that I would do it! Fortunately, Dave said yes.
On Wednesday, we trolled around Fremont Street hunting out the corners and crevices, looking for the perfect image. Dave looked stylish in his black shirt and jeans while Charlotte knocked everyone’s socks off with that chic looking dress and cowboy boots. I was also fortunate to have the uber talented duo Casey and Danielle from MIND|Castle came along as well to help me with an exciting new project.
Security is a really big deal in Vegas and we set a new record for being kicked out by security guards 3 times this session. Fortunately, nobody got tasered or shot so all is cool. We did manage to squeeze in a tonne of epic shots though.
Thursday came and we reluctantly left Vegas tired but inspired. I want to thank everyone for taking the time to chat with us and offering your friendship and support. I want to put all your names on here but I know I’ll miss someone so I won’t. Can’t wait for next year!
Here’s a teaser image of Dave and Charlotte looking fab. Congrats, Dave and Charlotte and thanks, Casey and Danielle!
P.S. I’m a little behind on my emails and if you sent me something this week, I will be getting back to you pronto!
