Last October, I blogged part of Rose-Mary and Peter’s wedding before heading out for Rome. Now here’s the entire wedding story from start to finish.
Rose-Mary is Italian and Peter is Greek. When the two were married by Father Rougas at the St. Demetrios, the entire ceremony was conducted in three languages to the delight of everyone (except Di and I couldn’t understand a single word!). Rose-Mary had on this incredibly detailed Rosa Clara dress with a cathedral length veil and matching bolero. The veil must have been about 12 feet long. But it went so well with the dress and fit right in with the feel of this church and the Greek wedding.
After the wedding ceremony, we had just a little bit of time for some outside photos before the rain started to hit and we had to head back. Rose-Mary had intended for the reception to have a Mediterranean feel and you can see that with the trailing ivy centerpieces they put together. Some relatives even brought pomegranates from Italy, which they placed around the cake.
Thanks, Rose-Mary and Peter. We had a great time at your wedding. We were still picking out rice in our gear weeks after the wedding! Have a great time in Argentina. We’ll talk soon!
{This is it! Our last wedding from 2009. What an amazing year it was for us. We have met so many wonderful people and shot in so many amazing places. Couldn’t have asked for more! From what I see, 2010 is going to be even more awesome. Looking forward to another great year. Thanks, everyone!}
