It has been about five years since the last time we took a long drive. We love driving because it allows us the flexibility to get off the trail and explore new places. We also took Tilda with us so she too could experience the west coast in her own doggie way.

This trip we spent most of our time visiting with friends, drinking amazing coffee and discovering amazing food throughout the west coast. The time away from home made me ponder a lot. My mind is now filled with new ideas that are waiting to be hatched. Really inspired now for this season to kick into high gear.

These images of Di and Tilda were taken beside a random gas station in British Columbia on the way home. The light was so good, I couldn’t resist myself.

The two have been dating for more than ten years before they finally got married. Everyone was waiting eagerly for this day to happen. Their ceremony was held at Lena’s mom’s house in Calgary. Her house was just packed with food and drinks and more food.

Jason and his family arrived at around 11:15am with this huge barbequed pig. Then we had a short ceremony with their family, ate lunch before Lena changed into her white wedding gown.  The group of us then headed out to the town of Cochrane for some photos before arriving at Gleneagles for their reception.

Lena and Jason, we’ll never forget the detour into the saloon for those photos on the stage! Thanks for the memories. =)

A few weeks ago, the three of us spent an afternoon walking around the SAIT campus and the Stampede grounds hunting for cool photo locations. We were blessed with a Chinook that day so things were a lot more bearable. Both of them were tough cookies though and handled the cold like pro stars!

Chris and Alpha, we are so fortunate to be a part of your wedding day. Di and I are really looking forward to all the cool stuff you have planned and we can’t wait to meet the rest of your family.
