We have been looking forward to being in the mountains again, especially because most of our weddings are in the city this year.

The event was designed by Terra Law of Inspired Occasions. She helped Jennie and Shane come up with this incredibly vibrant coral and green theme. The bridesmaids wore coral dresses and the boys had brown suits paired with coral or green ties and brand spanking new brown shoes (guess who forgot to take his tag off). The centerpiece, though, was clearly Jennie’s Vera Wang dress, which had a layer of pink detail. It’s subtle but you can see it in the images below.

The ceremony was held in front of the Chateau facing Lake Louise. It was witnessed by 150 guests and I think 200 tourists (we lost count). Reception was over at the new part of the Chateau called the Mount Temple Ballroom. Terra had built a seating chart using lollipops, which also became their wedding favors. It went well with the candy bar that featured custom M&Ms with Jennie and Shane’s pictures on it.

What a great weekend! We are so lucky to be able to enjoy such an awesome venue just 90 minutes away from our city. Thanks to Jennie, Shane and Terra who made this all happen!

It was quite a beautiful day with bright sunshine, a remarkable change from the rainy day before. Before the ceremony, the group of us walked around the lake for photos, trying our best to dodge the swarms of tourists. We even sneaked into the old pool house for photos without getting caught!

The ceremony was held on the Victoria Terrace on one wing of the hotel. Karl had practiced memorizing his vows all day to make sure he nails it. In the end, everything was perfect. After the ceremony, everyone was treated to cocktails on the terrace before moving into the Victoria Room for dinner.
